CHEC High School

Two Day - Monday & Thursday - Diamond Class

The Diamond Program is a unique academic initiative designed for high school students in grades 10-12th. This program offers an exceptional opportunity for students to simultaneously earn their high school diploma and complete a two-year college degree by the time they graduate from high school. Each student receives personalized guidance and mentorship from dedicated guidance counselors, ensuring their unique academic and career goals are met. Guidance counselors along with dual enrollment lab specialists work closely with students to create a roadmap for their studies, monitor their progress, and provide accountability to keep them on track for dual graduation. Students receive assistance in selecting courses that align with their intended college major and career aspirations, giving them a competitive edge when transferring to a four-year university or entering the workforce.

  • Dual Achievement Pathway

    • Students take a carefully structured combination of high school and college courses that fulfill graduation requirements for both. By the end of the program, they graduate high school with their diploma and an Associate’s Degree.

  • One-on-One Communication

    • Each student receives biweekly personalized guidance and mentorship from dedicated guidance counselors, ensuring their unique academic and career goals are met.

The trip provides immersive experiences, including cultural exchanges, visits to significant historical and economic landmarks, and global networking opportunities.

Students follow a 32-week school calendar, attending classes on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. On Mondays, they have the flexibility to wear attire of their choice, provided it adheres to the school’s guidelines. On Thursdays, students are required to wear their professional uniform from Flynn O’Hara, fostering a polished and professional learning environment.

On Mondays, all students will participate in International Studies and Entrepreneurship, culminating in an optional class trip abroad to enhance their global learning experience. Additionally, students who have completed the CHEC Math and English program will enroll in specialized courses in Financial Literacy, Time Management, and Career Planning, with personalized guidance to support their academic and professional growth. CHEC Geometry and English 2 is also available on Mondays for 10th graders on a traditional math pathway.

On Thursdays, students have the opportunity to choose electives from a diverse selection, all aligned with our four pillars of learning: Liberal Arts, STEM, Business, and Fine Arts. This allows students to explore their interests while building skills across multiple disciplines.
