PEP & FESUA Scholarship Registration, Payment and Reimbursement Information
CHEC Academy is now a direct provider for the PEP and FESUA scholarships through Step Up For Students. You may use your scholarship to directly pay for monthly tuition payments. All deposits, fees, books must be paid out of pocket at registration checkout and may be submitted for reimbursement to the scholarship by the parent. How to Register and Pay using Scholarship:

Step 1: Visit www.checacademy.com and register for school year.

Step 2: Select tuition label that includes PEP/UA STUDENT.

Step 3: Pay required deposits, fees and books at checkout.

Step 3: Once registration is complete, sign in to your students scholarship EMA account. Go to the Marketplace on the left side - Find Providers - Search Chec - Click CHEC Academy - Select location - Select monthly payment and quantity - Add to cart - Go to cart - Reserve Funds.

Step 4: Once funds are reserved your registration is complete and confirmed. If funds are not received your student is not registered and your account may be auto charged at the next installment date.
Requirements for PEP students:

Step 1: Once scholarship has been awarded for the first time you must submit your letter of termination to the Palm Beach County Home Education Office. Fill out the form here and email to homeed@palmbeachschools.org. Students who were previously in public school must withdrawal from their school.

Step 2: Fill our your Student Learning Plan (SLP) in your EMA portal. As a reminder CHEC is not a private school, we are a Home Education Instructional Program.

Step 3: Annual Assessment: student assessment must be completed by Jun 30 and submitted into student's EMA account by Jul 31. We recommend the Star Assessment which can be found in the EMA marketplace or at Northridge Academy. Instructions on how to upload your assessment to EMA here
Requirements for UA students:

Step 1: Once scholarship has been awarded for the first time you must submit your notice of intent to the Palm Beach County Home Education Office. Fill out the form here and email to homeed@palmbeachschools.org

Step 2: Students are required to submit a yearly evaluation no sooner than 6 weeks from their notice of intent anniversary. Form must be completed by a certified teacher. Form can be found here and must be emailed to homeed@palmbeachschools.org
